I spend time with people and families and make unposed photographs that tell a visual story of their lives. My work shows emotional depth and evokes a sense of magic by imparting my own quirky and ethereal perception of reality into my art. The emotion in my photos is drawn from my introverted personality, where I found both the gift of being highly observant and a certain comfort in connecting with people through my camera. Quietly working with the subtle cues in people’s natural body language and energy, I create soulful images that are often fused with humor, joy, and tenderness.
At the core of my work is a desire to create art that allows people to feel encouraged, seen, and loved.
