Kaleen Enke Photography
Kaleen Enke has always found childhood and family life fascinating, She started exploring her own childhood when she got a pink 110 film camera for her 7th birthday. Later on in art school she created sculptures and paintings based on her childhood memories where there were gaps in the photographic story. After art school she became a teacher and worked to understand children, their natural development, their motivation, and their curiosities. Later as a mother, her desire to observe and document her own children with her camera quickly grew into an obsession to photograph other children and families. For Kaleen, photography is as close as she can get to making time stand still for long enough to really see it and feel it, both before being whisked away to the next moment and then again long after that moment has already passed. Kaleen lives in Atlanta in a forever fixer upper with her husband, 3 kids, and two dogs.
